Isaac 2 months and more

here is just a couple newer pictures of Isaac and Kyla. Kyla seems to love having her picture taken if I am trying to get a new picture of Isaac. She is a very good big sister and she loves her baby brother. Isaac had his 2 month checkup Friday. He was 11 lbs 2 oz(35%) and only 21 inches long (1.46%). I know kids who are born 21 inches! oh well he has the short genes!!!!Dr Hansen was very pleased with his growth and I am too.

I have given him a couple nick names too. Chunky monkey.... well that seems obvious.....Mr. Bright eyes..Cuz he is and lastly Mr. Bubbles... cuz when he coos he blows bubble too. So adorable!

Kyla turns 2!

Whew. Been awhile! Kyla turned 2 on May 4th. and we had a lot of fun celebrating her big day. She was in a great mood and she was working the crowd like a pro. She figured out pretty quick that the day was all about her!

more Isaac

Mister Bright eyes!

Kyla loves being a big sister. She really loves him.

First Bath!!!!!! He loves the water

We thought it might be fun if Kyla gave her baby doll a bath.
She was too cute!

Isaac Steven arrived!

So it has been a LONG while since I last posted anything. I am going to use the excuse of being extra busy with two kids! Friday April 2nd at 6:36 am Isaac Steven Marquand entered the world. It was only a 6 1/2 hour labor that was fairly easy! I was able to have my water birth experience and it was amazing. I only ended up pushing for 6 minutes. That is WAY better than the three hours I spent pushing with Kyla.
Three weeks has come and gone and we are all adjusting to life as a family of four pretty well. Here are some fun pics to see the big changes!

looking forward

Well we had some good news at my last Dr. appt. My midwife asked me to see Dr. Weber, he is a OB who has been around for quite some time and she felt that IF this baby ended up being breech as well, that Dr. Weber would be our guy! After sitting down with him and discussing my past birth experience, he assured me that he also agrees that breech birth is not abnormal and can be treated like any other normal delivery without the immediate need for a c-section. That was music to my ears! He quick did a check and said that he is confident that the baby will be staying head down and he felt that the baby was already 4 1/2 to 5 lbs.Good news! Esp since Kyla was about 4 lbs when she flipped at 37 weeks.

All in all I am still feeling very good and really getting excited for the big day to arrive! only about 4-5 weeks more to go.......
