a happy Thanksgiving

Well, we had a wonderful thanksgiving this year. Since Dustin shot a buck the Saturday before he decided to sleep in and enjoy the morning with the family. We woke up and made a yummy breakfast. Then we took out the ornaments and broke out the Mariah Carey Christmas CD and trimmed our little Christmas tree. Since it was a tinier tree it really didn't take long, but it was sure fun to do!
We got ourselves ready and headed to great grandma Jeanne's house for a relaxing time with family. There was a ton of food and fun. Luckily Kyla took a small nap while we were there and then it was off to the Marquands house to surprise them with a visit.
It was a ton of fun to see their face when we showed up. They were so confused and happy that we could make it. We also got to finally take a new family picture!

Overall it was a great day and now we are looking forward to Christmas!

november struggles

Well so far this month has been a tough one. Since the time change Kyla has been having problems with nap time and sleep time. She has really started to show how stubborn she can be! the last week was better and I was hoping that is was a sign of turnaround but alas it just took me almost two hours of fighting to get her down for her nap today( and at this point I am downstairs and I am not really sure if she is sleeping!). Some days it is hard to be the mommy!

I must say that it REALLY doesn't help that her eye teeth have been bothering her and she got a slight cold... UGH! not fun!

Dustin is out today hunting deer. So far he got a small buck. That makes him pretty happy even if it isn't huge. I was so glad to hear that he had a successful opening day!

A new development for kyla is a love of milk and cereal in the morning! I usually give her an option for breakfast and its been fun to add it to the list of things to have each morning!

Kyla was a little lamb 4 Halloween!

We had a very fun Halloween this year At first I was a bit nervous about her costume only because she would constantly take the head piece off. But once she got the bottoms half on she was ready to take on the little lamb roll!

Grandma Ginger and Grandpa Gene came up to spend the day with us. It was such fun. They came with to the Hallelujah praise party held at church and later after a great nap they stuck around to pass out candy so we could take Kyla around the block. By the fifth house she was really getting the hang of smiling big and getting candy. Since she couldn't say trick or treat it seemed to work just perfect!

a hiking we did go!

We were able to get out to willow river state park a couple of weekends ago to enjoy the fall colors and the cool weather. It was a great time! Kyla had a rosy nose and she really enjoyed making tons of noise. Daddy kept telling her that she was scaring away all the deer he was hoping to see! it was a wonderful afternoon!
