memorable memorial weekend

Isaac with Grandpa Gene and Grandma Ginger

Smores are yummy!

All smiles for Auntie Britta!

"Kissing Cousins" Peek a boo Mason!

We really had no plans for memorial day weekend. So, on Friday we took the kids to Willow River State park and had a BBQ. It was VERY quiet there. Dust and I figured it was because everyone who was camping either hadn't gotten there yet or they were setting up camp. So we practically had the place to ourselves! Kyla really enjoyed playing at the park and sliding down the slide. WE bought a $15 charcoal grill and it worked perfect!

Saturday we had everyone to our place for hotdogs, brats, smores and campfire pies.... very fun time. Kyla and Mason were playing like crazy and we could tell they were both going to sleep very well from all the activity.

Sunday was a normal day, except that we didn't make it to church due to a fever the night before. We think Kyla was just teething but who knows~

Monday was a normal day too..... Dustin did get off work a bit early, but we didn't do anything special.

I am so glad we had family come and spend some time with us on Saturday. It was such a beautiful day and what fun we had.

Isaac 2 months and more

here is just a couple newer pictures of Isaac and Kyla. Kyla seems to love having her picture taken if I am trying to get a new picture of Isaac. She is a very good big sister and she loves her baby brother. Isaac had his 2 month checkup Friday. He was 11 lbs 2 oz(35%) and only 21 inches long (1.46%). I know kids who are born 21 inches! oh well he has the short genes!!!!Dr Hansen was very pleased with his growth and I am too.

I have given him a couple nick names too. Chunky monkey.... well that seems obvious.....Mr. Bright eyes..Cuz he is and lastly Mr. Bubbles... cuz when he coos he blows bubble too. So adorable!

Kyla turns 2!

Whew. Been awhile! Kyla turned 2 on May 4th. and we had a lot of fun celebrating her big day. She was in a great mood and she was working the crowd like a pro. She figured out pretty quick that the day was all about her!

more Isaac

Mister Bright eyes!

Kyla loves being a big sister. She really loves him.

First Bath!!!!!! He loves the water

We thought it might be fun if Kyla gave her baby doll a bath.
She was too cute!

Isaac Steven arrived!

So it has been a LONG while since I last posted anything. I am going to use the excuse of being extra busy with two kids! Friday April 2nd at 6:36 am Isaac Steven Marquand entered the world. It was only a 6 1/2 hour labor that was fairly easy! I was able to have my water birth experience and it was amazing. I only ended up pushing for 6 minutes. That is WAY better than the three hours I spent pushing with Kyla.
Three weeks has come and gone and we are all adjusting to life as a family of four pretty well. Here are some fun pics to see the big changes!
